Chalala Micro Bakery is a small (micro) bakery located outside Pittsworth (west of Toowoomba) in Queensland. It was set up in 2007 by Laurie and Rhonda Stiller who took a tree change from Sydney to live near family. The bakery is the only one of its kind on the Darling Downs – surprising perhaps since it lies in the heart of the best grain growing area in Australia.
We have a small wood-fired masonry oven which gives a special type of heat and imparts a special flavour. Our sourdough breads and muesli are made from the best organic ingredients we can locate and wherever possible we use local flour and other ingredients.
We have recently been awarded two Bronze Medals for our Nutty Snackers and Wyangapinni Caramelised Nuts from the Sydney Royal 2012 Fine Food Show

A slow roasted blend of grains, seeds fruits and nuts provides the deliciously crunchy base in our Wyangapinni crunch muesli.
Chalala Micro-Bakery produces breads, fine quality muesli, biscuits and crackers which have a strong local following. Through our online store we aim to make these products more widely available. We sell our breads retail in Toowoomba, Warwick, Stanthorpe, Goondiwindi and Pittsworth. Our Muesli is also available in select Brisbane outlets.
